Joint AIA-CSI tour of the Midfield Terminal, the first new airport terminal since Sept. 11, 2001.

Registration will be limited to the first 250 registrants for this opportunity to be one of the first to see the new Midfield Terminal before its first flight on October 28th.

Refreshments will be provided. Cost of the event for AIA and CSI members is $10, guests are $20, and students and retirees are $10.

Please note, attendees must be over 18 years of age and attire as noted: no skirts, shorts, open toe shoes will be permitted. This is still an active construction job site, so use discretion on your clothing selection.

The beginning of the tour will require climbing stairs, if you need special accommodations to avoid the stairs send an email to seminar@csiindy.org or call Blake at (317)263-9655.

Schedule:

4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Check-in and begin tours in groups of 10-15 on first come basis (...no one will be permitted to enter after 6pm)

6 p.m. -7 p.m.
Social hour (hors d’ouvres and cash bar provided)

7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Presentation by Mary Inchauste on the coordination of artist, architect, contractor and fabricator for the integrated artwork.

Driving Directions:

Take I-70W to Six Points Road North.
Turn right at stop light onto Stafford Road.
Turn left towards Staging Areas.
Turn right onto South Perimeter Road.
Turn left onto Midfield Terminal Service Road (large orange sign).
Drive past security gate and trailer-city to parking entrance on left.

Parking:

On concrete apron outside airport terminal. Enter terminal at security gate to be directed to registration table.

Additional Tour Information:
All visitors must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including:

Closed Toe Shoes
(...sandals & open toed shoes are not acceptable)
Full Length Pants
(...shorts, capri pants etc. are not acceptable)
Shirts with sleeves
All visitors must show a photo ID issued by a governmental agency. Photo ID may be held until Visitor badge and PPE is returned.

The tour will highlight several of the art installations through the Check-in Hall, Civic Plaza, Security Screening Area, and Wing A will conclude with a presentation on the integration of artist, architect, contractor, and fabricator to achieve a world class new terminal.
